The Piano Trio for Anne Frank, 'Het Achterhuis' (the Secret Annexe), was composed in response to the diary of Anne Frank and also to a series of batiks paintings by artist Greg Tricker.
I was deeply affected by Anne's suffering and fuelled by stories from my father, who was a Ukrainian taken as forced labour by the Nazis, I set about expressing my feelings via a Piano Trio.
