Piano Sonatinas I - IX
Often the opening idea of a piece of music can determine what kind of a piece it is going to be. Sometimes that idea may not be so grand as to lead to a complete sonata, which is where the sonatina form has proved really useful to me.
My first Sonatina is a fun exercise (I endevour to make all my music playable and enjoyable for the performer) whilst the fourth is in deference to Haydn and the ninth has folk elements.
All are great fun to play!
